Purim
Purim commemorates the Jewish people being saved from an evil plot against them in ancient Persia, emphasizing God’s hidden role throughout Jewish history. Arguably the most fun holiday on the Jewish calendar, with deep Kabbalistic secrets and social justice messages, it is celebrated with costumes, feasts, and gifts of food and money to friends and those in need. KKL-JNF connects this special day to the Land of Israel with creative activities in its forests throughout the country, many of which include enchanted characters from the Purim story dressed up in costume along Israel’s beautiful trails.Â
