A Million Stars: A Song in Memory of the Fallen Soldiers of the Second Lebanon War

This video presents a slideshow of pictures from the Har Adir observation point along with the song “A Million Stars,” sung by Amit Farkash in memory of her brother, Captain Tom Farkash, who died in a helicopter crash during the Second Lebanon War. With sweeping views of northern Israel and Lebanon, the lookout point commemorates the 121 IDF soldiers who lost their lives during the 2006 war, including a memorial that presents the the story of the war, the names of the fallen, and maps of the region. מיליון כוכבים בשמיים
תופסים את הצבע שלך בעיניים
רציתי שניה אחת לומר לך שלום

A Million Stars

You wanted to fly
you wanted to move further
with a half smile you went up.
A million stars in the sky
are catching the colour in your eyes.
Just give me another second to say goodbye to you.
You wanted to fly,
you went too far.
In the midst of craziness, there’s no one to protect me.
A million stars in the sky
are catching the colour in your eyes.
I wanted a second to say goodbye to you.
I wanted to sing, you picked up a guitar.
An angel plays for me now, so with you I sing.
A million stars in the sky
are catching the colour in your eyes.
I wanted to sing for you, to say goodbye to you.
I wanted a second to say goodbye to you.
Just give me another second to say goodbye to you.
