Agriculture Without Boundaries in the Arava

This video [02:36] shows the Arava International Center for Agricultural Training (AICAT), which brings together more than 1,200 students from 18 different countries around the world, every year. The participants learn the hidden secrets of how to make the desert bloom, based on agricultural technology  and climate adapted farming.The participants also acquire tools for their own personal growth such as critical thinking, taking initiative, and taking creative action in the agricultural field of work.

Israel, having developed such monumental technologies as drip irrigation, genetic improvement of seed quality, and new whole-wheat seed varieties, is at the forefront of agricultural technology. The graduates of the Arava Agricultural Training Center become Israeli ambassadors, spreading the ground-breaking techniques and ideas they learn in the Arava, while also carrying their positive connection to Israeli culture with them throughout all corners of the world.
