Tel Hai

One of the first four Jewish settlements in the Galilee, Tel Hai is best known for the legendary battle that took place there in 1920, in which eight Jewish defenders of the agricultural settlement fell, including Zionist hero Joseph Trumpeldor. Today, as part of a campaign to build up the Galilee region, KKL-JNF sponsors an annual conference at the Tel Hai Academic College and offers tuition subsidies to some of its students.
