Coexistence in Haifa: The Holiday of Holidays Festival

Produced by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this video (02:42) highlights the diverse city of Haifa as a symbol of religious coexistence through the annual “Holiday of Holidays” festival, where people gather to share art, music, culture, food and more. Initiated by the Beit Hagefen Arab Jewish Center and the Haifa Municipality, the celebration of tolerance and mutual respect began in December 1993, when Chanukah, Christmas and Ramadan all took place in the same month. Although there are several seconds of footage that are only in Hebrew, most of the video is in English.Â
