This clip (4:14) depicts a moving event hosted in the Ben Shemen Forest each year: a Tu Bishvat tree-planting celebration for Israeli children with special needs. This joint initiative between MADA Youth and KKL-JNF cultivates a love of the land in children who tend to have limited hands-on opportunities to foster their connection with it. Since 1907, KKL-JNF has been dedicated to the development and afforestation of the Ben Shemen Forest and has worked tirelessly to turn it into the thriving, attractive site it is today. The forest represents the realizing of the Zionistic dream to settle the State of Israel and rehabilitate its barren lands into thriving, fertile regions.
