Get a glimpse of Israeli DJ Skazi‘s signature style in this live performance of the song ‘Davay Davay‘ (3:23). The band’s unique punk rock-psytrance combo emerged from front man Asher Swissa‘s background in punk, where he began his musical career back in 1990 in a band called Sartan Hashad (Breast Cancer). Swissa says that once he was introduced to trance, “there was no turning back,” and now, he says, he hears other artists mimicking his style and calling it “Skazi trance.” Swissa was initially influenced by artists like Metallica and Prodigy, rather than trance or EDM, which is perhaps what gives him the breadth to blend genres so freely.
