Dror Mishani reflects on his early literary influences in this brief clip (1:21). Mishani is an up-and-coming Israeli crime writer and literary scholar whose award-winning novels have already won several prizes both in Israel and abroad. His first novel, The Missing File, won Sweden’s Martin Beck Award for best translated crime novel. A Possibility of Violence, Mishani’s second novel, was short-listed for the Sapir Prize and won the Berenstein prize for best Hebrew novel of the year. A number of Mishani’s works have been adapted for film and television.
